Last year, we muddled through, because we were still muddling even though the girl was 4 months old. I was going back to work in a week or so and didn't feel like celebrating. Our lives felt tenuous, like we were holding on by a hair and too much happiness might cause us to lose our balance.
This year, BabyCenter.com informs me that 8 weeks of baby is about the size of a kidney bean and we will be parents all over again before the end of the year. I imagine a boy this time, blonde (of course) and brawny, even as a tyke. Or maybe another girl, and my daughter will know the sweetness of having a sister (a sweetness her mother has never known).

Wahoo!! Welcome, Baby #2.
Hooray!
What a great mother's day story!! I know that that made their best-mothers-day-gift-ever prize, for them and their friends! Congratulations to you too :)
HOORAY!!!
Just now read this post and broke out in a huge smile for you.
Something was telling me deep down inside that you might be pregnant. Hmm. Interesting, that intuition. :)
Look forward to journeying with you into this new life in your lives.
xoxo,
Christianne
Wahoo! Congrats!
oh wow! sarah, sweet sarah--so very thrilled for you :) what a fortunate child that is coming into your life...
Congratulations!!!! I love how you broke the news to the grandparents! I saw a commercial a long time ago about a woman getting her husband a father's day gift and that was her way of breaking the news to him that she was pregnant. I loved that idea, but never would be able to keep such a secret from MJ for very long!
LOVE.IT!! again, so happy for you. there i was thinking i'd be in labor on mother's day and there you were about to announce mother-news all over again. sigh.... so fun!!!
and oh my blonde winter boy.... i sometimes secretly call him JV even tho his initials are nothing such, b/cs he's my joie de vivre baby... all blonde and blue and while not brawny, all boy. he's a delight--i might wish one of them on you. or.... to invite you into my secret world of sister love: to carry a sister's love in your heart is something indescribable so i might wish one of those on you, too.
simply perfect. He is so good!!
